Local Marketing with Social Media

Local Marketing with Social Media with Steve Thode from Klusster.com and John Yi from NextME. Register today for this event at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/local-marketing-with-social-media-tickets-28472491990

Schedule:
6PM-6:30pm: Registration, Networking and Pizza
6:30pm-6:45pm: Introductions
6:45pm-7:30pm: Panel discussion

7:30pm-8pm: Open Q&A, announcements, wrap-up

In 2016 Facebook passed the 1.71 billion mark for monthly active users on phones, tablets and computers. Social media is changing the way people get their information about local businesses. Consumers look to social media for recommendations from friends and family. Businesses need to embrace social media since that is where a lot of their customers are and build an online relationship with these customers. Social media allows local businesses to communicate directly with their customers and build loyalty.

Twitter is still one of the top social media channels for engaging in personal conversations with your community. Geo-located searches in Twitter make it easy to find potential customers in your area or a specific geographic radius. But finding them is just the beginning, what really matters is the quality of the conversation that you initiate with the people you find.
A MarketingLand Nielsen study showed that nearly half of visitors to a business’ mobile site will look up the location of the business, and then 39% will pick up the phone and call. If you’re looking to increase customer visits to your brick-and-mortar location, those results are compelling -- particularly when compared against the results garnered by traditional media.

When: Tue, November 15, 2016 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Where: MakeOffices at River North Point, Chicago, IL 60654

Little Quiapo Restaurant has been serving Chicagoland authentic filipino cuisine since 1979. They set out to give new-comers a taste of the Philippines and to give Filipinos here in the states a reminder of home. Little Quiapo Restaurant has also participated in the Taste Of Chicago.
Little Quiapo Restaurant offers their extremely popular dinner buffet. From fried rice to pinakbet to crispy pata, the buffet offers their customers a taste of just about everything on the menu. The buffet gives their newer customers a chance to explore and find out exactly what they like, but some of their returning customers seem to enjoy it even more.

In October 2009, the Senate of the 111th Congress passed a resolution recognizing Filipino American History Month. In November 2009, Congress passed the resolution (H. Eat, Drink and be Social at Hot Woks Cool Sushi

  • This event is for anyone interested in meeting other food bloggers, photographers, videographers, foodies and overall social media enthusiasts. We are organizing this event so we could meet others, share photos, take video, review food and most importantly explore Chicago area restaurants through social media.
This is a review of Hot Woks Cool Sushi from TimeOut Chicago:
"This little BYOB does a nice job of executing most standard Anglo cravings, from crunchy egg rolls and gooey crab rangoon to jam-packed maki. Try the “Hot Woks Noodles,” stir-fried spinach noodles that resemble fettucine wok-tossed with shrimp, chicken and jalapeño peppers for heat. Like the Akira roll (tuna, salmon, spicy mayo, ginger and avocado rolled in crunchy tempura flakes)"
